Join the BOOKMAGIC Environmental Month Support Campaign 2025
June 5 celebrates Environmental Day, and in recognition of this important event, the certified NPO JEN is launching the "BOOKMAGIC Environmental Month Support Campaign 2025". This initiative empowers individuals to actively participate in international cooperation by donating their already-read books, CDs, and DVDs to support humanitarian efforts.
JEN's BOOKMAGIC campaign makes it incredibly easy to contribute. Participants simply pack their unwanted books or media in a cardboard box and ship them to JEN. The proceeds from the sale of these items will be entirely donated to JEN, supporting people affected by conflict and disaster. In an exciting addition, for donations made during the campaign period (June 5 to August 4), Book Off will add an additional 10% to the total value of donated items, with the entire amount going towards furthering JEN's mission.
Every year, a significant number of supporters contribute to this cause, which combines ecological sustainability with humanitarian aid. For instance, if the estimated value of a donated book or DVD is 1,000 yen, it has the potential to supply three notebooks to children in Afghanistan. JEN encourages households to consider the items they no longer use as opportunities to create positive change in the world.
