Lacquer requires numerous application layers to reach an authentic depth. This labor-intense process mirrors our journey over two decades. When I first held the lacquered handle completed in the Fukui workshop, the tactile experience was profound, and I knew instantly it was the perfect fit."

In a strategic choice, YOUTA selected PVC for its practicality and aesthetic. Sugawara explains, "We aimed to redefine what 'lasting beauty' means. While genuine leather lizard looks beautiful, it is impractical for today's business people, who must be concerned about weather. This anniversary model combines stunning aesthetics with the durability needed for rainy days. It was a necessary choice born from a pursuit of functional beauty."
