StellaON Achieves TÜV SÜD Certification Enhancing Power Conversion Systems in Germany

StellaON Achieves TÜV SÜD Certification for Power Conversion Systems

In a significant advancement for energy technology, SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) has successfully obtained TÜV SÜD's certification for its StellaON 1250K/1575K power conversion systems (PCS). This certification validates compliance with key German standards, including VDE-AR-N 4110, 4120, and 4130, specifically for medium, high, and extra-high voltage networks. This development is crucial as it enables the integration of StellaON systems into large-scale energy storage projects across various grid levels, facilitating enhanced energy management and utilization.

TÜV SÜD's Rigorous Evaluation Process

The TÜV SÜD certification process meticulously assesses the converters' performance during various network disturbances. This extensive evaluation focuses on critical aspects such as real and reactive power control and response to frequency fluctuations. The certification combines research conducted in compliance with FGW TR3 and model validation in accordance with TR4 as part of the TR8 program. By utilizing validated DIgSILENT PowerFactory models, engineers can effectively evaluate the converters within the context of complete energy storage installations.

Comprehensive Standard Compliance

The three established standards cater to energy storage installations linked to both distribution networks and transmission systems. Notably, the VDE-AR-N 4130 standard applies to networks operating at voltages of 220 kV and higher, where the interconnection requirements are critical for upholding overall system stability.

Advantages of StellaON 1250K/1575K

The StellaON 1250K/1575K model boasts remarkable capabilities, such as an autonomous startup feature and an impressive efficiency rate of 98.5% at full load. It maintains its rated power even at ambient temperatures reaching 55°C, eliminating the need for derating. Furthermore, for a duration of up to 60 seconds, it can operate at 1.5 times its rated capacity. Its speed-controlled cooling system ensures that noise levels are kept to a minimum of 65 dB, making it suitable for installation in locations with stringent noise regulations.

For developers and EPC contractors, this certification serves as a foundation for selecting appropriate PCS systems and preparing technical specifications aligned with the relevant connection voltages. It also establishes a basis for the certification of the entire installation and obtaining connection approvals; however, specific design solution and grid requirements necessitate additional assessments at the installation level.

Successful Implementation Across Multiple Markets

StellaON's success is not confined to Germany, as the system has also achieved European Union certifications along with national certifications in various countries including Poland, Romania, and others. The product's approval for use extends to Romania, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. Currently, certification processes are underway in the United States, Spain, Austria, and Chile, with anticipated completion by the end of 2026.

StellaON's integration in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and Africa is exemplified by over 15 active projects, which are either in the stages of system integration, supply, or onsite commissioning. In the first half of 2026 alone, order values by power capacity surpassed 500 MW. Additionally, the PCS system has been validated in challenging environmental conditions across regions such as Vietnam and Myanmar, where it has operated successfully under extreme temperatures and humidity, as well as in applications involving island microgrids.

A Leader in Energy Solutions

Since its inception in 2007, SINEXCEL has emerged as a frontrunner in the energy storage market, electric vehicle charging systems, and solutions that provide access to high-quality energy. The company has successfully implemented energy storage systems with a cumulative power output of 17 GW, deployed 200,000 electric vehicle chargers, and installed nearly 20 million amperes of active harmonic filters. Collaborating with industry leaders, SINEXCEL strives to ensure energy freedom for its clients and communities.

With its recent TÜV SÜD certification, StellaON not only enhances its product offerings but also sets a benchmark for industry standards in energy technology, paving the way for future advancements in energy storage and conversion systems.
