KAKERU: A New Platform for Corporate Event Professionals to Connect and Share Insights

KAKERU: Connecting Corporate Event Professionals

In a groundbreaking move, Global Produce, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has announced the launch of KAKERU, a networking platform for event planners working within corporations. With a robust portfolio that includes producing over 200 large-scale business events annually, this initiative is designed to facilitate connections among event coordinators, enabling them to share insights and experiences that are often kept within the confines of their respective companies.

Scheduled to kick off on July 15, 2026, KAKERU's inaugural event, KAKERU Vol.1, will be held at the company’s event space, TOWN HALL, in Shibuya. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Takahiro Mochizuki, Executive Officer of LAVA International, who will explore the design processes behind events that motivate and engage participants.

The Motivation Behind KAKERU

In recent years, corporate events—be it kick-off meetings, awards ceremonies, or anniversary celebrations—have become pivotal in fostering unity and engagement within organizations. However, event professionals often operate in isolation, facing difficulties in sharing practical knowledge regarding what works and what doesn’t. Challenges such as aligning goals with the company vision, navigating internal adjustments, and budget allocation are frequently absorbed solo.

Global Produce recognized this gap. Privileged with the experience of producing numerous business events across various industries, the company understands that event coordinators often grapple with similar questions but lack a platform for honest dialogue and insight sharing. KAKERU aims to break down these barriers, allowing event professionals to transcend company boundaries and collectively discuss the ‘reality’ of their event planning endeavors.

This community-centric initiative not only embodies Global Produce’s vision of spreading happiness through event production but also seeks to convert isolated knowledge into an industry-wide resource that can benefit all.

What KAKERU Offers

The value that KAKERU provides to its participants is manifold:

1. Access to Authentic Insights: Participants will gain direct access to the unfiltered experiences of their peers, discussing everything from the objectives of their initiatives to the obstacles faced during execution.

2. Networking with Peers: Attendees will connect with individuals who understand the unique pressures of event planning. This communal sharing can foster a sense of fellowship and support among corporate event professionals.

3. Catalyzing Co-Creation: The exchange of insights can lead to new collaborative opportunities, encouraging innovation and collective initiatives between companies.

KAKERU aspires to be more than just a networking platform; it seeks to create an environment where the shared knowledge of event professionals can bridge gaps between corporations and open doors to new possibilities.

Director’s Note

In his remarks, Director Tensei Sakata highlighted the uncharted power that events have in mobilizing people and organizations. He expressed a need for greater opportunities where event professionals can openly share and learn from one another. KAKERU is designed to facilitate such connections, promoting dialogue that could lead to innovative ideas, collaborative efforts, and new business opportunities.

Sakata envisions KAKERU as a bridge connecting individuals and organizations, fostering the emergence of new values and business strategies. He believes that through cooperation and shared experiences, KAKERU will manifest a community that nurtures creativity and promotes success for all involved.

As Global Produce continues its mission of delivering joy worldwide through its events, KAKERU embodies this principle by creating tangible connections in the event planning community.
