Biwatt Unveils Cutting-Edge Sodium-Ion Solutions at Solar Solutions Düsseldorf

Biwatt Showcases Advanced Sodium-ion Energy Solutions

At the recent Solar Solutions Düsseldorf event, Biwatt, a frontrunner in sodium-ion battery technology, unveiled its newest developments aimed at promoting sustainable energy storage. The company is steadfast in its mission to enhance the adoption of renewable energy by providing efficient sodium-ion technologies, particularly in regions that encounter extreme cold climates.

CEO Owen emphasized Biwatt's commitment, stating, "At Biwatt, we are dedicated to advancing sodium-ion innovation to deliver sustainable, safe, and cold-resistant energy solutions." The remarkable safety profile and low environmental impact of sodium-ion technology signify its adaptability not only for Europe but also for North America and Asia-Pacific markets.

Innovative Product Lineup

Biwatt is making significant strides with its PowerNest product line, which showcases an array of efficient energy solutions. As of 2024, the company has successfully scaled its sodium-ion storage systems across various regions including Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America. Key products feature inclusive sodium-ion units such as the W1/W1 Pro, low-voltage stackable battery R2, and the single-phase inverter models H1 and H1Pro.

Building on this success, Biwatt plans to release a three-phase inverter model H2 and a balcony PV storage battery B1 in Q1 2025. Additionally, a high-voltage stackable battery is slated for launch in Q2 2025. These upcoming innovations promise to unlock the full potential of sodium-ion technology, presenting safer and more sustainable energy solutions for residential consumers.

Expanding Beyond Residential Use

In its pursuit of versatility, Biwatt is also expanding its sodium-ion offerings to tool-oriented products, including a lead-acid battery replacement P1 (12V 100Ah), a starter battery P2 (12V 70Ah), and a jump starter. These products leverage sodium-ion's advantages, including high-rate discharge and commendable performance in low-temperature situations, ensuring reliability across a wide array of demanding applications.

Strategic Collaborations

To accelerate the commercialization of sodium-ion technology, Biwatt has entered partnerships with several key players. Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with strategic partners such as Salzstrom, NDES Group, and inesco. These alliances are aimed at promoting the joint development and implementation of greener energy solutions and advancing the reach of sodium-ion energy storage.
