Massage Envy Extends Support for Skin Cancer Awareness Initiatives in 2026

Massage Envy Expands Support for Skin Cancer Awareness

In an ongoing commitment to promoting skin health, Massage Envy, the leading provider of massage services across the United States, has announced its continued partnership with The Skin Cancer Foundation for the third consecutive year. This collaboration coincides with National Skin Cancer Awareness Month in May, highlighting the significant message of skin cancer prevention and the importance of regular screenings.

On April 30, 2026, Massage Envy revealed its donation of $20,000 to The Skin Cancer Foundation. This contribution is pivotal for the Foundation's Destination Healthy Skin program, which is dedicated to educating the public about skin cancer risks, early detection, treatment methods, and effective sun protection strategies. The efforts of Massage Envy align seamlessly with the Foundation’s mission, making educational resources and skin cancer screenings accessible to many across the nation.

From May 1 to May 31, the franchise network will spotlight these initiatives. Both members and guests will notice QR codes prominently displayed at front desks, allowing them to directly support the Foundation and learn more about skin cancer prevention measures. Additionally, select professional sunscreen products will be available at discounts to reinforce the need for daily sun protection.

Todd Schrader, CEO of Massage Envy Franchising, expressed, “Our mission encompasses encouraging members and guests to focus on self-care. Through our ongoing support of The Skin Cancer Foundation and the Destination Healthy Skin initiative, we are bringing our commitment to life in communities nationwide. Skin Cancer Awareness Month serves as a vital reminder that prevention and early detection are crucial, and programs like Destination Healthy Skin play a significant role in making these resources available to those who need them most.”

The Destination Healthy Skin program operates a mobile unit, a 38-foot RV fitted with two private examination rooms, where volunteer dermatologists provide free, comprehensive skin cancer screenings without the need for appointments. This straightforward access is invaluable in raising awareness and assisting individuals in the early detection of skin cancer.

Since its inception, the program has successfully facilitated over 34,000 free skin screenings, uncovering more than 13,700 potential skin cancers and precancers, including 672 suspected melanomas. In addition to these screenings, the program has disseminated educational materials and sunscreen products to over 116,000 people, broadening its reach year by year. For 2026, the program plans to visit around 40 cities across the United States, continuing to educate and provide preventive resources.

As skin cancer affects a significant portion of the population, with one in five Americans diagnosed by the age of 70, the partnership with Massage Envy plays a crucial role in furthering awareness. Staci Pierson, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Skin Cancer Foundation, underscored the importance of this collaboration, stating, “With continued support from Massage Envy, we will enhance our outreach and provide essential resources that empower individuals to take charge of their skin health.”
