Exciting Pop-Up Event: 'OBSCURE TEE STAND'

From June 6 to June 8, 2025, Brooklyn Parlor SHINJUKU will host a unique pop-up event titled 'OBSCURE TEE STAND'. Organized by Blue Note Japan, this event promises an artistic experience filled with exclusive merchandise and intriguing artwork.

Four talented artists will showcase their creativity through limited-edition T-shirts and unique goods. Visitors can expect imaginative designs from:

- MASHU OKIMASHU - A renowned illustrator, MASHU has worked with a wide array of musicians and entertainers, including idol groups and punk bands. His vibrant artwork has even been published in collections like 'GlueBook'.
- RYOHEI KAZUMI / ENTERTAINMENT - This artist specializes in various media, producing paintings, prints, and original merchandise. He also heads a fictional museum shop called “ENTERTAINMENT,” providing a platform for artists to showcase their works.
- Kazuma Mikami / CATS - An illustrator and artist based in Tokyo, his work spans magazines and advertisements. His unique storytelling through visuals and three-dimensional creations demonstrates his profound artistic talent.
- SHO MIYATA / FLASHPOTS - Not only an illustrator, but Miyata also runs his graphic wear label. His designs are inspired by the intriguing visuals encountered in everyday life and the nostalgic charm of bygone eras.

In addition, attendees will find artwork from each of the participating artists displayed prominently within the venue, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere to enjoy Brooklyn Parlor's food and drink offerings. The event isn’t just about shopping; it aims to immerse visitors in a carefully curated artistic environment where they can appreciate T-shirts and the stories behind them.

As a special message, Miyata shared his nostalgic connection to Brooklyn Parlor, emphasizing how his journey as an illustrator began here. His fond memories and relationships with fellow artists MASHU OKIMASHU, Kazuma Mikami, and Ryohei Kazumi have culminated in this collaborative event. He notes, “T-shirts are casual, yet they provide a gateway to art and design.
