Acarix's CADScor® System Gains Regulatory Approval in UAE, Transforming Cardiac Care
Acarix's CADScor® System Approved in the UAE
Acarix AB, a Swedish medical device innovator, recently celebrated a significant milestone with the receipt of regulatory approval for its CADScor® System from the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE) and the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). This approval provides a gateway for the introduction of this revolutionary diagnostic tool throughout the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking Acarix's strategic entry into the Gulf region.
The CADScor® System represents a breakthrough in the assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD). Utilizing highly sensitive acoustics and advanced computational analysis, the device is capable of analyzing coronary blood flow and delivering a patient-specific result in less than ten minutes. This feature is vital for clinicians dealing with patients who present with chest pain or shortness of breath. By offering a rapid, non-invasive examination to rule out significant CAD, the CADScor® System promises to facilitate earlier risk stratification and minimize the need for more invasive and costly testing procedures.
Aamir Mahmood, President and CEO of Acarix, emphasized the pressing need for quicker diagnostic pathways in the Gulf region, where CAD poses a considerable health burden. He stated, “Coronary artery disease is a leading health burden across the Gulf. The diagnostic pathway remains longer and more resource-intensive than it needs to be. Bringing the CADScor System to the UAE will provide clinicians with a fast, non-invasive method to rule out CAD accurately.
