Unlocking the Power of Soap for Laundry

On July 14, 2025, Palsystem Kanagawa will host an informative online workshop titled "Master the Art of Soap Laundry" starting at 1:00 PM. The event, aimed at promoting eco-friendly laundry practices, will be led by Takao Mogi, the representative of Shirai Shaya Cleaning Company. Mogi has been using soap as a washing agent in his Tokyo-based cleaning business for over 30 years, emphasizing the health and environmental benefits of natural cleaning methods.

Why Use Soap for Laundry?

Soap is renowned for its exceptional cleaning power and ease of rinsing. When used in the correct proportions and temperature, soap can eliminate deep-seated dirt while being kind to fabrics. This workshop will cover essential laundry techniques tailored to the summer season, including how to deal with sweat, odors, stains from food spills, and mud. Attendees will learn how to properly read laundry labels, recognize the different types of stains, and choose the best practices for each.

In addition, participants will gain insights into common laundry issues, such as mold in washing machines and soap residue. Mogi will explain the differences between soap and synthetic detergents, addressing why doing laundry with natural soap is often the superior choice.
