RTVI US Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary With Glittering Gala in New York City
RTVI US recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a magnificent gala held in the vibrant setting of Midtown Manhattan. The grand event drew an impressive crowd of approximately 250 guests, featuring dignitaries from both state and city governance, prominent business leaders, media executives, and influential cultural figures, alongside community leaders and close partners of the channel. This celebration of RTVI US’s quarter-century legacy highlighted the network's pivotal role within the Russian-speaking diaspora in the United States and its active participation in New York’s rich multicultural dialogue.
Among the notable attendees were New York State Senator Stephen T. Chan, Assembly Members Alec Brook-Krasny and David I. Weprin, and members of the New York City Council, including Justin Brannan, Inna Vernikov, and Susan Zhuang. The gala was far more than just a festive gathering; it served as an acknowledgment of RTVI US’s contributions toward fostering independent journalism, community engagement, and high professional standards. A Proclamation from the New York State Senate, courtesy of Senator Chan, honored RTVI US for its unwavering commitment to serving the Russian-speaking communities across the nation. Citations from the New York State Assembly, presented by Assembly Members, recognized RTVI US for its long-standing contributions to New York's information landscape, commitment to journalistic integrity, and public service.
In addition to these accolades, the New York City Council also issued citations acknowledging RTVI’s meaningful contributions to the city’s news agenda and ongoing support for its diverse communities. “We take pride in the gathering we hosted; it symbolizes the support we receive from public officials, community leaders, and partners.
