Lucid Air Grand Touring Sets Record for Longest Range in Winter Test 2026

Lucid Air Grand Touring Sets the Standard in Electric Vehicle Range

In a remarkable feat, the Lucid Air Grand Touring has achieved the longest distance ever recorded in the 2026 NAF Winter Test, successfully covering 520 kilometers under the harshest of conditions. This year’s test, conducted by the Norges Automobil-Forbund (NAF), saw temperatures plummet to -31°C as the vehicle maneuvered through snow-covered roads, urban traffic, mountain paths, and highways, all without the need for charging.

This impressive journey commenced in Oslo, Norway's capital, and traversed to the scenic highlands, showcasing the vehicle’s capability and reliability even in extreme winter conditions. The runner-up in this challenge managed only 421 kilometers, underscoring the Lucid Air's exceptional performance and edge over other competitors.

Cutting-Edge Technology at Work

The Lucid Air Grand Touring is powered by the company's proprietary electric drivetrain technology, which establishes it as the leader in its class. With a WLTP range reaching up to 960 kilometers and an energy consumption figure of 13.5 kWh/100 km, this vehicle sets the benchmark for electric vehicles on the market today. The model boasts an impressive 611 kW (831 hp) performance, allowing it to reach top speeds of 270 km/h. Furthermore, thanks to its rapid charging capabilities, the Lucid Air can gather up to 400 kilometers of range in just 16 minutes of charging.

“This is our inaugural participation in the NAF winter tests, and it's fair to say that the Lucid Air Grand Touring has claimed the title of range king, even under severe winter conditions,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Lucid Europe. He emphasized that the event provides invaluable insights into electric vehicles' performance in real-world scenarios and highlights Lucid's continuous advancements in electric vehicle technology.

The benchmark established with this record is remarkable considering the range and varying conditions faced during the test. Furthermore, this follows an earlier achievement in the summer of 2025 when the Lucid Air Grand Touring recorded a staggering 828.6 kilometers during the NAF Summer Test, surpassing the previous record of 672 kilometers set in 2023.
