About HelloWorld Robotics
As a pioneer in the field of autonomous delivery, HelloWorld Robotics focuses on utilizing self-driving ground vehicles for food and grocery delivery services. The company has customized existing vehicles to create a cost-effective Level 4 autonomous driving system. Their delivery robot, TARS, operates reliably in various weather conditions and is available for under $5,000. Thanks to the support from JCI, HelloWorld Robotics has conducted verification tests for adapting their technology to the Japanese market and sought partnerships in the region, culminating in their participation in the upcoming expo.
The Japan Connect Initiative
The JCI, which runs until March 2025, aims to facilitate the entrance of startups from Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia into Japan, while also encouraging Japanese startups to expand into these Southeast Asian markets. This cross-border initiative is designed to create partnerships and foster innovation, crucial for developing a robust business ecosystem between Japan and Southeast Asia.
Support from Tokyo's TOKYO SUTEAM
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government started the
TOKYO SUTEAM initiative in 2023 to support diverse new startups. This program aims to utilize various stakeholders' ideas, networks, and resources to encourage startup growth in the city. By participating in JCI, HelloWorld Robotics is benefitting from this supportive environment as they advance their business objectives in Japan.
