Rakumo and Cloud Ace Collaborate on AI Agent Development
In a significant collaboration that aims to enhance workplace efficiency,
Rakumo Inc. and
Cloud Ace Inc. have embarked on a joint project to develop AI agents utilizing the advanced capabilities of
Google Agentspace. Headquartered in Tokyo, both companies are dedicated to harnessing the power of technology to streamline operations and improve productivity.
Project Objective
This initiative was launched in response to the common challenge faced by organizations: the dispersion of essential company information across multiple systems, making it difficult for employees to access the data they need promptly. By leveraging joint expertise, Rakumo and Cloud Ace aim to enhance the efficiency of internal information retrieval through a proof-of-concept (PoC) experiment involving AI agents.
Overview of AI Agent Development
The project focuses on developing three categories of AI agents:
1. Internal Q&A Agent
The internal Q&A agent will provide employees with swift answers to common queries such as inquiries about vacation application procedures or the designated approver for equipment purchases. By automatically generating optimal responses from data stored in
Google Workspace, which includes Google Drive and Google Sites, this agent significantly reduces the inquiry burden on HR and general affairs departments.
2. Onboarding Support Agent
To facilitate the training of new and mid-career employees, the onboarding support agent will assist in efficiently disseminating information regarding company policies, departmental roles, and operational manuals. New hires can simply pose questions to the agent, thereby conveniently accessing necessary information and contributing to their swift integration as productive team members.
3. User Support Assistance Agent
Designed for support departments handling customer inquiries, the user support assistance agent will cross-search service manuals and previous interactions stored in Google Drive, offering optimal response suggestions. This enhancement ensures support staff can access information quickly, improving both the efficiency and quality of customer service.
Roles and Responsibilities
Rakumo's Contributions
Rakumo will handle requirement definitions, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation of the AI agents. With their expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI), they will build agents that provide user-friendly interactions.
Cloud Ace's Contributions
Cloud Ace will oversee project management, support the implementation of Google Agentspace, and define requirements. Utilizing their extensive technical capabilities and successful project history with Google Cloud, they will drive the overall initiative forward.
Project Timeline
The proof-of-concept experiment is slated to occur between late July and late October in 2025.
Future Prospects
Building on insights gained from this collaborative development, future projects may expand to encompass not only
Rakumo’s workflow and expense management data but also information from platforms like Salesforce. This vision includes developing an “integrated search agent” to facilitate cross-sectional data searches throughout the organization. The potential commercialization of AI agent services via the
Google Cloud Marketplace is also being considered as a way to support enhanced productivity for businesses.
