Enfinity Global Begins Operations on First Project with Microsoft in Italy

Enfinity Global Launches Its First Solar Project in Partnership with Microsoft

On January 29, 2026, Enfinity Global proudly announced the commencement of commercial operations for its inaugural project as part of its 366 MW portfolio of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Microsoft in Italy. This significant milestone marks not only the start of an innovative solar energy production initiative but also a strategic partnership aimed at promoting sustainability efforts through dependable renewable energy supply.

The project encompasses a state-of-the-art photovoltaic solar plant with a capacity of 33.8 MW AC located in the heart of Italy. This initial operation sets the stage for a broader collaboration with Microsoft, which includes the development of additional renewable energy projects that are currently underway in various regions across Italy, such as Latium, Emilia-Romagna, and Basilicata.

Carlos Domenech, the CEO of Enfinity Global, expressed excitement over supplying a prominent technology corporation like Microsoft with solar energy. “We at Enfinity Global are committed to delivering reliable, value-added renewable energy solutions to our global and local customers while being a responsible member of the communities where our solar plants are established,” he stated.

As part of this collaboration, Enfinity and Microsoft are also focused on making a positive impact on communities through investments and job creation as the renewable energy projects progress. Their joint efforts seek to not only propel Microsoft's sustainability objectives but also foster local economies and enhance community resilience.

Founded in 2019, Enfinity Global Inc. alongside its subsidiaries has rapidly established itself as a leading renewable energy and sustainability service company in the United States. The firm owns an extensive portfolio that includes 39.3 GW of renewable energy and storage projects. Among these, some are already operational, while many are in the construction phase or under development, with an additional 37 GW under negotiation in the United States.

Strategically situated with offices in the U.S., Europe, Japan, and India, Enfinity is passionately contributing to the transition toward a low-carbon economy. Its leadership team comprises one of the most experienced and knowledgeable groups in the renewable energy sector, having successfully managed funding efforts exceeding $41 billion and developed over 26 GW of solar and wind energy projects.

Over the past two years, Enfinity Global has solidified its position as a forerunner in the Italian solar market by entering into contracts for 808 MW with major enterprises and industrial clients, marking its influence and commitment in the region.

The completion of this first solar project under the PPA is just the beginning for Enfinity Global and Microsoft’s partnership. With ongoing projects aimed at producing uninterrupted renewable energy output, stakeholders can expect to see continued advancements in sustainable technology and efforts to mitigate climate change impacts through strategic partnerships in the years ahead. This initiative not only reinforces the core mission of both companies to promote green energy but also enhances accessibility to renewable energy sources across Italy and potentially beyond.

In conclusion, the collaboration between Enfinity Global and Microsoft serves as a vital step forward in achieving the goals of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. The journey towards a greener future is bright, bolstered by innovative projects that underscore the power of cooperation between industry leaders in the renewable energy landscape.
