CereVasc, Inc., a pioneering clinical-stage medical device company focused on developing minimally invasive solutions for neurological disorders, has announced the opening of its new facility in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This strategic expansion is expected to strengthen the company's position as it gears up for the commercialization of its revolutionary eShunt System.

Located conveniently near Interstate 93, the state-of-the-art facility encompasses an ISO Class 7 clean room, crucial for assembly, inspection, testing, and manufacturing operations related to the investigational eShunt System. This new location comes on the heels of significant milestones for the company, including the completion of enrollment in its STRIDE pivotal clinical trial and securing an impressive $85 million in Series C financing.

CereVasc’s eShunt System is designed specifically to offer a minimally invasive alternative to traditional shunt surgery for managing communicating hydrocephalus, including Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). NPH is a complex and often under-recognized condition associated with symptoms such as gait disturbances, cognitive decline, and urinary incontinence. The STRIDE trial plays a vital role, serving as the foundation for the company’s anticipated Premarket Approval (PMA) submission to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center has been a supportive partner in this endeavor.
