NFG SA Launches 'Step Forward' Foundation

In a significant move towards expanding its philanthropic impact, NFG SA, the leading company in the NFG Group, has announced the establishment of the NFG Step Forward Foundation. This new independent nonprofit organization is set to enhance and structure the long-standing charitable activities of the NFG Group.

Since its inception in 2017, the NFG Group has supported a diverse range of charitable initiatives. These efforts include funding educational programs for underprivileged youth, sponsoring community programs, and providing direct aid to individuals and families in need. The creation of the Step Forward Foundation marks a notable advancement in this commitment, consolidating philanthropic endeavors under a specially designed structure that aims to improve transparency, accountability, and long-term effects.

The Step Forward Foundation will operate as an independent platform, receiving contributions from NFG member organizations, clients, and external donors. Furthermore, it will act as a central hub for charities, community entities, and individuals seeking support.

Primarily, the foundation will focus on aiding disadvantaged youth by providing access to education, promoting sports, facilitating healthcare, and offering essential resources for overall well-being. However, it remains open to promoting a wide array of charitable causes across the globe.

To kickstart the foundation and ensure immediate operational capability, NFG SA has made an initial contribution of $1 million. Keith Beekmeyer, the CEO of the NFG Group, emphasized, "Step Forward represents the next phase of NFG's commitment to giving back. By establishing an independent foundation, we can ensure that support reaches those who need it most, with transparency and integrity at the heart of our mission. The foundation will be overseen by an independent board, with Dr. Kathryn Devos and Cecilia Rague-Kaisha serving as ambassadors, supported by Shaunte Stapleton as Corporate Manager and Troylin Evelyn as Secretary. More trustees will be announced as the foundation grows.

Step Forward builds upon NFG's ongoing philanthropic partnerships. Recently, NFG SA supported the annual campaign of the Lenivan Foundation, which provides school shoes to children in Kenya. This initiative contributed to the distribution of over 300 pairs of shoes while also supporting educational and community initiatives throughout Africa.
