Tractor Beverage Co's Memorable Night at the Mad Agriculture Journal Launch in Ojai Valley

An Enchanting Evening in Ojai Valley with Tractor Beverage Co.

On July 31, 2025, the scenic Ojai Valley will come alive with the vibrant sounds of storytelling, music, and community connection. This is all set to happen at the Be Like a Sheep Mad Agriculture Journal Launch Party, organized by Tractor Beverage Co. in collaboration with Mad Agriculture, Cole Bush, and the Farmhand Foundation. This is not just a journal release; it's a celebration of regenerative agriculture and a meaningful community gathering.

The event will be hosted at the historic Simoore Grange Hall, which serves as a cultural hub for the community. The highlight of the evening is the launch of the latest Mad Agriculture Journal, a visually rich 72-page collection comprising essays, photography, poetry, and field dispatches that delve into the world of regenerative practices. Each page invites readers to explore new narratives blossoming on the periphery of conventional agriculture.

What sets this event apart is its purpose-driven atmosphere. It's designed to intertwine art, food, and education, as attendees will savor delectable BBQ, enjoy craft cocktails created by Tractor Beverage Co. and Show Pony Bar, and indulge in local delicacies featuring lamb and goat sourced from Boek House Hearth Husbandry. The culinary experience will be complemented by short film screenings, including Herd Dances by Liam Pickhardt and a montage by Cole Bush, produced with help from Mad Media's Kirk Horton.

In addition to the delicious food and engaging visuals, there will be an interactive panel discussion revolving around crucial topics such as land stewardship, climate resilience, and the significance of local food systems. Esteemed guests, including Cole Bush and representatives from Tractor, will share their insights, educating attendees about the importance of nurturing our land.

Furthermore, the night will incorporate lively activities, including line dancing lessons and performances by local musician Diane Anastasio. This blend of fun and education aims to create an immersive experience where participants can not only learn about the regenerative movement but also engage with it firsthand.

As Alex Ring, Community Director at Tractor Beverage Co., eloquently stated, “We’re excited to raise a glass with the Ojai community and celebrate what it means to be in relationship with the land.” This sentiment perfectly encapsulates the essence of the evening, inviting everyone to delve deeper into their connection with agriculture and each other.

Moreover, this gathering stands as a testament to supporting local spaces, with 100% of ticket proceeds allocated to the preservation of the Simoore Grange Hall. The commitment to uplift such historic venues reinforces community bonds, ensuring that they continue to thrive for future generations.
