Newly Established FSDi Aims to Solve Community Challenges through Collaboration

Introduction

On February 1, 2026, the Future Society Design institute (FSDi) will officially launch as a collaborative platform aiming to address the structural challenges faced by local governments and organizations through public and private partnerships. Located in Minato City, Tokyo, FSDi is led by Katsumi Wakisaka, the Executive Director of the Future Society Design Organization (未来社会デザイン機構).

Objectives

FSDi is designed as a platform that bridges various stakeholders including corporations, local governments, students, and supporters to generate innovative solutions and ideas to tackle diverse local issues. The goal is not merely to share knowledge but to turn regional challenges into concrete social solutions, ultimately creating a sustainable well-being society.

To celebrate its establishment, FSDi will host the "Future Society Design institute Kickoff 2026" event on February 27, 2026. This session will feature keynote speeches from industry leaders and discussions aimed at exploring sustainable regional models.
