Texas Regional Bank Expands Its Presence with New Magnolia Location in Houston Suburbs

Texas Regional Bank Expands to Magnolia

Texas Regional Bank (TRB) has officially launched a new full-service banking center in Magnolia, a thriving suburb in northwest Houston. This new branch opened its doors to customers on January 5, 2026, marking the bank's strategic commitment to one of the fastest-growing regions in Montgomery County.

Situated along the bustling FM 1488 corridor, the new facility is set to enhance banking accessibility for both residents and local business owners, providing a comprehensive suite of financial services. Magnolia's recent population surge and commercial growth have deemed it an ideal location for TRB's expansion, enabling the bank to cater effectively to the needs of a burgeoning community.

The bank has appointed Skip Colvin as the Montgomery County Market President, whose extensive experience in community banking will benefit the area significantly. Colvin is well recognized for his proactive support of local businesses and civic initiatives. He currently serves as Chair Elect of the Greater Southwest Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, highlighting his dedication to fostering local economic development. Additionally, he is a member of the City of Magnolia's Economic Development Corporation Board, emphasizing his commitment to sustainable growth in the region.

Colvin expressed his excitement about being part of the Magnolia community, noting, "Magnolia is a place where neighbors still help neighbors, a spirit that reflects the character of this community and the momentum behind its growth. New families, new neighborhoods, and new businesses continue to choose Magnolia as home. I look forward to serving the people I see at local schools, church, ballgames, and around town. Being part of Magnolia and Montgomery County's future is an opportunity I'm grateful for."

The inauguration of the Magnolia branch aligns with TRB's long-term vision of enhancing its footprint throughout Texas via organic growth and active community involvement. Earlier in 2026, the bank further expanded its Houston presence with the establishment of its Rosenberg banking center, solidifying its commitment to Southeast Texas.

Lewis Gissel, President of TRB’s Houston Region, shared insights into the bank’s growth strategy, stating, "The pace of growth in the Houston region continues to accelerate, and Montgomery County stands out as a community with significant long-term potential. This new location expands our ability to serve customers where they live and work. We're here to support the continued growth of Magnolia and Montgomery County, and the businesses and families that are driving it forward."

The grand opening was celebrated with a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony, which welcomed community members, business leaders, and local officials. Notable speeches were delivered by local chamber representatives, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough, and the bank’s Chairman and CEO, Michael Scaief. The event concluded with a generous donation to the Magnolia Educational Foundation's First-Generation Scholarship program, underscoring TRB’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives in the area.

Located at 13295 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354, the new banking center boasts lobby hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ready to assist community members with their banking needs.
