A Taste of Halekulani: The 2026 Fair
The Imperial Hotel Tokyo is set to host an exciting culinary event, the "Halekulani Fair 2026", from May 1 to June 30, 2026. This extraordinary fair will celebrate the rich flavors of Hawaii, showcasing a variety of soul food-inspired dishes, with a special focus on the culinary artistry of renowned Chef Shaiden Sato from Halekulani. Simultaneously, the event will also take place at the Imperial Hotel Osaka, giving guests two stunning venues to experience Hawaiian delights.
Since partnering with the prestigious Halekulani hotel in Hawaii in 2009, the Imperial Hotel has successfully hosted this annual fair, marking a vibrant connection between Japan and Hawaiian culture. This year's theme, "A Taste of Halekulani, A Touch of Aloha", will feature signature dishes designed to evoke the essence of Hawaii, utilizing select soul food elements. Visitors will find these culinary creations spread across three dining locations within the Tokyo hotel.
Culinary Innovations by Chef Shaiden Sato
Chef Shaiden Sato, the banqueting and events chef at Halekulani, will present a new menu specially crafted for this fair. Guests can relish a unique one-plate style presentation, allowing them to experience a collection of flavors that highlight both tradition and innovation. Among the delicacies that will grace the menu, the iconic coconut cake returns as a fan favorite, sweetening the experience.
Participants can also indulge in popular cocktails, as well as exciting new creations at the bar, in conjunction with unique mocktails. Additionally, a selection of delightful pastries will be available at the hotel shop, including exciting new desserts conceptualized by Halekulani's pastry chef Michel Baldomero, baked goods from the Halekulani Bakery, and the much-loved garlic shrimp.
