Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) recently held a workshop aimed at empowering the company’s MOL Ambassadors, focusing on the maritime industry and MOL's operations. This event took place at the newly established Toranomon Empowerment Center, known as "SANGO," and marks the third iteration of this educational initiative since its inception in 2022, with workshops being conducted every winter and spring break.

During this workshop, participants had the opportunity to tour the vessel simulator training facilities that SANGO offers and gain hands-on experience with a program developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which MOL collaborates with. At the conclusion of the workshop, the MOL Ambassadors were tasked with brainstorming exhibition ideas for the upcoming "MOL Museum: Funeshiru," set to open in Osaka on July 19, 2025. This provided a platform for them to exchange ideas with MOL employees and present their concepts to the museum staff. Selected ideas will be featured in the museum's official exhibition.

Participants shared their reflections about the experience, expressing sentiments such as, "The simulator tour made me realize how important each crew member's role is," and, "While brainstorming for the exhibition, we thought a lot about how we could engage visitors as MOL Ambassadors. I felt like I was dreaming when I learned that the ideas we generated might actually be adopted."
