On December 5, 2025, Barneys New York will kick off a pop-up event featuring the innovative craft gin brand, LUO, at both its Ginza and Roppongi locations. This unique occasion offers a chance for gin enthusiasts to indulge in specially designed black bottles created exclusively for Barneys.

The Essence of LUO

LUO's philosophy is encapsulated in the phrase, "Drink to Make a Difference." This sustainable craft gin brand utilizes vibrant natural ingredients, with a portion of sales directed towards forest conservation, aiding children in developing nations, and supporting disaster-stricken areas. This commitment ensures every sip contributes positively to the world.

Unique Craft Gins Available

During the event, three uniquely crafted gins will be available:

BONSAI GIN

Bonsai Gin stands out with its main botanical being the pine tree, a symbol of Japanese aesthetics. The gin exudes a woody aroma accentuated by warmth from spices like cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and ginger. The addition of Earl Grey tea leaves adds a delicate, sophisticated finish to the fragrance, creating a sensory experience akin to a quiet forest. PALOSANTO GIN

Palosanto Gin is a pioneering craft gin in Japan, using the aromatic palo santo wood. This gin features a floral, perfume-like scent combined with woody and bitter flavors, while the sweetness of cinnamon, clove, and Earl Grey lingers in the aftertaste. The distillation process involves fine-tuning the botanical blends in minute percentages, allowing for varied experiences when enjoyed with tonic or soda water. Key botanicals include palo santo, juniper berries, ginger, cinnamon, Earl Grey, clove, and cardamom.

SAUNA GIN

Sauna Gin incorporates hinoki (Japanese cypress) and yuzu, offering a “rejuvenating gin” experience. Designed to complement the calm you'll feel after a sauna session, this gin features the refreshing scent of hinoki paired with herbaceous botanicals. It's crafted to encapsulate the essence of consuming silence and tranquility post-sauna, enhanced further by the invigorating sensation of yuzu and the grounded aroma of hinoki.
