Exciting Sake Event 'YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO' Launches in Central Tokyo

Upcoming 'YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO' Event in Tokyo

Beginning in May 2026, Mori Trust Co., Ltd. is set to launch an innovative sake event known as 'YORIMICHI SAKE KAIDO.' This exciting initiative will showcase the delights of Japanese sake across four vibrant areas in Tokyo: Kamiyacho, Akasaka, Gotenyama, and Marunouchi. The event encourages locals and office workers to indulge in the rich flavors of sake and local cuisine during their after-work hours.

Event Overview

'This event aims to create new opportunities for interaction among office workers and local residents and provide visitors staying in hotels within the area with a chance to experience the allure of rural Japan while staying in the heart of the city,' emphasizes Mori Trust. Utilizing the network built with local municipalities and businesses, the event will highlight the cultural heritage of Japanese sake.

First Event Details: Kamiyacho – 'Sake Road Beginning in Echigo'

The inaugural event takes place at Tokyo World Gate in Kamiyacho on May 28th and 29th, targeting a mix of business professionals and tourists. This installment will feature over ten renowned sake breweries from Niigata, a region famed for its rice production. Attendees can expect a selection that includes both well-known classics and rare finds. A special highlight will be the limited edition 'Hakkaisan Blue Bottle,' created exclusively for the event in collaboration with Hakkaisan Brewery Group.

In addition, the event will offer visitors the chance to learn about each sake's background, ideal pairing suggestions, and culinary combinations to enhance the tasting experience. Traditional Niigata snacks and light bites that complement the beverages will also be available, making for a well-rounded cultural experience.

Exclusive 'YORIMICHI Starter Set'

To enrich the experience, a 'YORIMICHI Starter Set' will be available for purchase. This set includes an original wooden masu cup and sake tickets that allow visitors to enjoy a sake-tasting journey reminiscent of a vineyard tour right in Tokyo. Participants who buy this special cup can purchase discounted sake tickets for future events, creating an incentive to explore all four locations.

Furthermore, after the opening event in Kamiyacho, additional programs will occur in the surrounding districts, including Akasaka and Marunouchi, following a promotional campaign. Attendees can collect LINE digital stamps at the different venues to enter a raffle for exciting prizes.
