Moomoo and Nasdaq's Investment World Championship 2025
In an exciting conclusion to the
Moomoo x Nasdaq Investment World Championship 2025, held from October 13 to November 22, more than
350,000 participants from eight global markets competed using the innovative Moomoo trading platform. The event showcased the capabilities of
Nasdaq TotalView® real-time market data and advanced AI investment tools, allowing investors to navigate a highly volatile trading environment with precision.
The standout achievement came from Japanese participants, with one contestant achieving a staggering
1,045.15% overall return, placing them first in Japan. Meanwhile, global rankings saw stellar performances from users in Hong Kong and Singapore, who secured the top three spots with returns of
7,528.1%,
4,957.8%, and
4,907.6%, respectively. This event clearly highlighted Asia’s potential in the investment arena.
To celebrate these successes, award ceremonies were held in eight countries, including the U.S., Singapore, and Hong Kong. Japan's ceremony took place on December 22 at the Moomoo Store in Omotesando, featuring a special seminar led by Moomoo's CEO
Francisco Izawa and the acclaimed individual investor
Katsu.
Insights from the Ceremony
During the awards, Izawa noted the most traded stock was
Tesla among U.S. stocks, while
NVIDIA led in U.S. stock options. He discussed the fluctuating market conditions that impacted returns, primarily affected by the U.S.-China trade tensions and interest rate speculation. Despite only
15% of demo traders managing positive returns, award recipients demonstrated remarkable achievements through strategic planning in a challenging market.
Moomoo also incentivized users who actively participated in investment learning and community engagement with
¥1,000,000 worth of stock cash back vouchers. As a highlight, nine exemplary users were featured in a special video broadcast at the
Nasdaq Tower in Times Square, New York, on December 18, generating significant global interest.
Investment Insights and Trends
Throughout the competition, Moomoo conducted a comprehensive investor awareness survey among
1,700 participants, revealing that
24% had between 3 and 5 years of investment experience, while
23% had more than 10 years. The data indicated a strong interest in U.S. stocks, with
86% of respondents expressing particular interest in U.S. stock options. The trend toward diversification was also evident, as participants showed increasing curiosity toward U.S. ETFs.
Survey results indicated that
64% of participants regularly utilized fundamental analysis tools, such as charts and news, while
39% employed AI-driven tools like Moomoo AI. This growing engagement with technology highlights a shift toward data-informed investments among users.
Brandon Tepper, Senior Vice President of Nasdaq's Global Data Business, expressed his pride in partnering with Moomoo, emphasizing the importance of providing individual traders with institutional-level market insights. Tepper affirmed Nasdaq's commitment to its strategic partnership, and looks forward to enhancing future tournaments to better equip investors with high-quality data for smarter decision-making.
