NGAS-Accelerator Program: Shaping the Future of Energy in Japan

In a significant step towards innovative energy solutions, the NGAS-Accelerator Program, led by Nihonkai Gas Kizuna Holdings (Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD) and co-managed by 01Booster, officially launched its third batch on September 11, 2025. Held at the headquarters of Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD in Toyama, this event marked the beginning of a six-month journey aimed at co-creating new business ventures in the energy sector with selected startups.

The NGAS-Accelerator Program has been designed as a business creation initiative that involves collaboration between the Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD group and innovative startups. Over the next six months, participating startups will work closely with the Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD employees to develop new business models, with varied support tailored to their specific needs at each stage of their growth. This initiative highlights the commitment of Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD to foster creativity and innovation within the energy landscape.

Selected Startups for the 3rd Batch

The following six startups have been selected to participate in this batch:

1. M2X Corporation - Developing software to enhance equipment maintenance efficiency. Website: M2X Software
2. JOYCLE Corporation - Offering a small-scale IoT upcycling plant, JOYCLE BOX, which efficiently handles waste without transportation or incineration. Website: JOYCLE
3. mui Lab Inc. - Nationwide deployment of a smart home platform, “Living OS”, and an energy-focused app for consumers. Website: mui Lab
4. COSOJI Corporation - Providing a sharing platform for real estate management at the community level. Website: COSOJI

During the kick-off event, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as the selected startups and the Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD team shared their aspirations for the upcoming collaboration. CEO Yotaro Nitta emphasized the importance of overcoming barriers together and striving for mutually beneficial outcomes throughout the six-month incubation period. His commitment reflects the program’s underlying principle—to create impactful innovations in energy and residential living.

Looking Ahead: Future Outcomes

At the conclusion of the six-month program, a showcase event will take place in Toyama in March 2026, which will demonstrate the new value propositions developed during this collaboration. The goal is to highlight the innovative outcomes achieved through the synergy of startups and the comprehensive support provided by the Nihonkai Gas Kizuna HD group.
