From September 11 to September 27, 2026, Tokyu Excel Hotel in Futako Tamagawa will present a special dining experience called "Nagano City x Ueda City: Shinshu Kiyoraka Rice Trip". Located on the 30th floor of the hotel, The 30th Dining Bar will serve a menu designed to highlight the rich agricultural bounty of these two neighboring cities in Nagano Prefecture.

Both Nagano City and Ueda City are blessed with distinct climates and natural environments that foster a diverse array of agricultural products. This limited-time offering aims to celebrate their unique flavors through a curated menu that primarily uses locally sourced ingredients.

The Nagano-Ueda Course

The star of the menu is the "Roast Venison with Mushroom Sauté in Japanese Sauce", which showcases venison raised in the lush natural landscape of Nagano. Known for its lean texture and rich umami flavor, this dish is enhanced by a savory Japanese sauce made with soy sauce.

Accompanying the venison is a delicate tempura dish featuring black abalone mushrooms, okra, and long eggplants served with a miso made from dried daikon radish, offering a delightful crunch and an explosion of flavors in each bite. The meal is complemented by a portion of Shinshu soba, allowing diners to fully appreciate the culinary heritage of Nagano City and Ueda City.

Signature Dessert

In addition to the main course, the afternoon tea will feature a dessert titled "Baked Cheescake with Gorgonzola Flavor and Nagano Purple Sorbet". This sweet treat combines three different types of locally sourced grapes—Nagano Purple, Queen Rouge, and Shine Muscat—resulting in a dessert that perfectly captures the essence of the autumn grape harvest. The balance of the cheese's richness and the tartness of the grapes makes it an irresistible seasonal delight.
