Post Capital Partners Celebrates 20 Years and Leadership Expansion
Post Capital Partners, a prominent player in private equity, recently marked its two-decade milestone since its founding in 2004. The firm has built a solid reputation for investing in and elevating lower middle-market businesses. The partnership's journey began with Mitch Davidson and Michael Pfeffer, who aspired to collaborate with visionary CEOs, driving growth and innovation among their portfolio companies.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, Post Capital has announced vital leadership changes, appointing Christopher Cheang and Isaac Chalal as Managing Directors. Both have been integral in steering the firm towards continued success and robust investment strategies.
Christopher Cheang joined the firm in 2009 and has been crucial to its growth trajectory. His experience encompasses deal execution, management of portfolio companies, and investor relations. Notably, Cheang has transitioned to lead the firm's business development and compliance operations. Prior to his time at Post Capital, he worked with Cabot China Limited and began his career in investment banking at Adams Harkness. Cheang holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Mitch Davidson, the Managing Partner and Co-Founder, praised Cheang's impact: "Chris has been a significant contributor, consistently driving exceptional results in various business areas. We are proud of his accomplishments and eager for his continued influence within the firm.”
Isaac Chalal has been with Post Capital since 2018 and has played a crucial role in the evaluation and execution of high-value investments. His prior experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at PicoBrew and a Vice President at Aterian Investment Partners. Chalal earned both his BS and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Davidson expressed confidence in Chalal’s abilities: "Isaac’s leadership has been instrumental in guiding our deal teams and helping portfolio companies thrive. His knowledge and dedication to collaboration will undoubtedly foster further growth for our firm.”
Additionally, Ben Plotnick recently joined as an associate. Previously part of Deloitte's Mergers & Acquisitions group, he brings valuable experience to the team. Plotnick also graduated with an MBA from NYU Stern and holds a BBA from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.
As Post Capital Partners enters its third decade, it is also launching its fourth committed fund and has announced a strategic partnership with Goldratt Consulting. This alliance is aimed at investing in operationally complex companies, further bolstering its growth strategy. The firm’s unique approach emphasizes a strong network of industry executives, creating a powerful ecosystem for growth, insight, and strategic vision across its investments.
With a commitment to nimble and effective investment strategies and a keen eye for complex operational matters, Post Capital Partners is poised for continued success in the evolving private equity landscape. Monitoring its growth and development will prove exciting for investors and businesses alike as they leverage the firm’s depth of experience and strategic insights.”
