Enfinity Global Surpasses 500 MW of Solar Capacity in Italy

Enfinity Global has reached an impressive milestone by achieving 535 Megawatts (MW) of operational solar capacity in Italy within just three years. This significant accomplishment underscores the company’s agility in addressing the growing energy needs of the nation. With 18 solar photovoltaic plants located across the Latium and Emilia-Romagna regions, Enfinity Global’s solar endeavors are poised to generate nearly 1 Terawatt-hour (TWh) of renewable energy annually. This output is equivalent to powering approximately 350,000 households while avoiding the emission of around 290,904 tons of CO₂ each year.

Alessandro Ceschiat, the General Director for Italy at Enfinity Global, remarked, “Achieving an installed capacity of 535 MW is a landmark achievement that shows our ability to rapidly deploy energy infrastructure for the country. Every megawatt contributes to enhancing Italy’s energy security, supporting the competitiveness of the national production system, and progressing towards decarbonization goals.”

This remarkable progress is attributed to the collaborative efforts of the company’s workforce across Italy and Europe, along with the support from industrial, financial, and institutional partners who share the company’s vision. According to Elemens data, Enfinity Global currently stands as the second-largest solar operator in Italy by authorized capacity, having surpassed the 1 GW benchmark. The company is also stepping up its presence in the energy storage sector, with roughly 600 MW of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) authorized. These developments are integrated within a broader portfolio of 9.1 GW.
