Aspire Bakeries and Otis Spunkmeyer Make History with Generous Donation to Fight Hunger

Aspire Bakeries and Otis Spunkmeyer’s Record-Breaking Donation

In a remarkable display of corporate social responsibility, Aspire Bakeries, along with the renowned Otis Spunkmeyer brand, recently announced an impressive donation of $160,698 to the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation. This significant contribution was made during the annual Sodexo Charity Classic, which took place on June 5, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

This charitable act was the culmination of Aspire Bakeries' Fall 2025 cause-marketing campaign, which was conducted across the Sodexo and Entegra enterprises. During this initiative, a portion of the sales from select Otis Spunkmeyer products sold from September to December of the previous year was allocated to support the Foundation's mission of addressing food insecurity, particularly among vulnerable populations, including children.

Mark Goldrainer, a key figure overseeing this partnership at Aspire Bakeries, expressed pride in the achievement. "This year, we significantly surpassed our previous donation record due to an expanded campaign period, a broader range of qualifying products, and enhanced engagement with operators and customers through improved communication channels and promotional materials at points of sale," Goldrainer said.

The fundraising event at the Sodexo Charity Classic featured Aspire Bakeries representatives, including Chris Prociv, Scott Gosselin, and Mark Goldrainer, who formally presented the check to leaders of the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation, including Joan McGlockton and Roxanne Moore. Chris Prociv, the Chief Growth Officer of Aspire Bakeries, remarked on the enduring relationship with Sodexo, stating, "As a proud supply partner to Sodexo for over 25 years, our support for the Stop Hunger Foundation demonstrates our collective dedication to tackling food insecurity. Every individual deserves access to nutritious meals, and we appreciate this partnership that helps improve the lives of children and families in need."

Furthermore, this successful campaign has set the stage for future initiatives. The Otis Spunkmeyer team is ambitiously planning the Fall 2026 campaign, with efforts focused on increasing the program's outreach and generating a more significant impact across North America.

In addition to the donation, Aspire Bakeries and Otis Spunkmeyer are committed to being the primary sponsor of the Stop Hunger Foundation’s upcoming Community Rebuilding Project (CRP), scheduled for September 2026. This vital initiative aims to assist recovery efforts in Altadena, California, following the devastating wildfires that affected the region in 2025.

Through this ongoing partnership, both Otis Spunkmeyer and Aspire Bakeries continue to showcase how businesses can create substantial social impact while delivering value to their customers and communities. Their dedication to fighting food insecurity not only highlights their commitment to corporate responsibility but also sets a standard for others in the industry to follow.
