Tokyo Tatemono Expands Eco-Friendly Logistics in Tohoku

Tokyo Tatemono, a significant player in logistics development, has announced the completion of T-LOGI Sendai, marking the first entry of its environmentally conscious T-LOGI series into the Tohoku region. The facility, which is set to offer small-scale rental options, is strategically situated to serve as a key distribution hub for both the Sendai region and the greater metropolitan areas.

Prime Location for Enhanced Logistics

T-LOGI Sendai is located approximately 2.6 km from the Sendai Port North Interchange on the Sendai East Road. This positioning allows for efficient long-distance deliveries, connecting to major highways like the Tohoku Expressway, Jōban Expressway, and Sanriku Expressway. With convenient access to the Sendai Port Railway Station, this new facility is designed to reduce CO2 emissions and address labor shortages through improved modal shift options. Additionally, its proximity to Sendai Station—just about 13.6 km away—underscores its status as an efficient delivery hub within Sendai City itself.

Features That Enhance Efficiency

As one of the few large-scale logistics facilities in Sendai, T-LOGI Sendai stands out due to its unique four-story sloped structure. It has been designed with direct truck access on the first and second floors, allowing for a higher number of truck bays compared to conventional box-shaped logistics facilities. This design significantly enhances the efficiency of loading and unloading operations.

The minimum divisible area of the warehouse is approximately 5,500 square meters, catering to the high demand for small-scale leasing in the Sendai area. Each segmented area is equipped with dedicated freight elevators and vertical transport devices to streamline the movement of goods for tenant companies.

Comfortable Work Environment for Tenants

Understanding the importance of a supportive working environment, T-LOGI Sendai includes gender-specific restrooms on each floor. The second floor features a lounge designed as a space for tenant employees to relax, which in turn supports tenant companies in fostering acomfortable workplace environment and attracting talent.

Commitment to Environmental Sustainability

In line with the eco-friendly philosophy of the T-LOGI series, T-LOGI Sendai has solar panels on its roof, enabling it to generate its own electricity for use within the facility. Any excess power generated will be transferred to the Tokyo Tatemono Sendai Building, thus maximizing the utilization of renewable energy, especially in areas where energy generation capacity is limited.

The eco-friendly design and operations of T-LOGI Sendai have earned it prestigious environmental certifications, including the highest rank of the Building Energy Efficiency Labeling System (BELS) for ZEB certification and a CASBEE S rank, marking it as a model for energy-efficient construction.
