Maybelline Launches 'Together We're Brave' Campaign for Mental Health Day

In advance of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Maybelline New York has announced the launch of "Together We're Brave," the latest chapter in their Brave Together global mental health initiative. This program has already assisted over four million individuals in accessing free personal support globally. The campaign focuses on the unbreakable bonds that help individuals cope with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, while celebrating the loved ones who stand by them in their times of need.

Realizing that mental health issues affect not only those who experience them but also their family and friends, the "Together We're Brave" campaign aims to strengthen networks of support. The campaign seeks to empower individuals with the information and encouragement needed to be present for their loved ones. Through poignant real-life stories of mothers and daughters, best friends, and other special pairs, the initiative showcases the transformative role of connection and urges individuals to seek support for themselves or someone they care about.

Sandrine Jolly, Global Brand General Manager at Maybelline New York, stated, "At Maybelline New York, we understand that the journey of mental health rarely occurs in isolation. With 'Together We're Brave,' we have broadened the conversation surrounding mental health to recognize those who accompany us through life’s most difficult moments. By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire more open discussions and remind people that it is brave to ask for help, either for themselves or for someone they care about."

Since its inception in 2020, the Brave Together initiative has formed partnerships with over 45 non-profit organizations in 37 countries and has contributed nearly 10 million dollars to global mental health initiatives. With "Together We're Brave," Maybelline New York reaffirms its commitment to increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and helping more individuals access the support they need. As part of this commitment, Maybelline New York will continue its collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to raise awareness, expand access to resources, and foster conversations about mental health in the United States.

Dr. Christine Crawford, NAMI's Medical Director, commented, "When someone we love is going through a tough time, we don't always know what to say, but being present is critical. Listening without judgment, staying connected, and helping someone locate support can truly make a difference. Through our collaboration with Maybelline New York and Brave Together, we remind people that you don’t need to have all the answers to be there for a loved one."
