Art Para Fukagawa: The Chatty Art Festival 2025 is set to take place from
October 18 to 26, 2025. This vibrant festival will display approximately
600 artworks, bringing together disabled artists and local residents to create a colorful tapestry of creativity. Organized by the Art Para Fukagawa Committee, led by Chairperson Kazue Honda and General Director Hiromi Hojo, this event aims to highlight the power of art to foster dialogue and connect individuals.
For six years, this festival has evolved into a cherished community event, attracting over
526,000 visitors during the previous five editions. 1. Art Exhibitions Throughout the Community
The streets of Fukagawa, including landmarks like Monzen-Nakacho, Kiyosumi Shirakawa, and Morishita, will transform into open-air galleries. Artworks will be displayed in local shops, cafes, and shrines, creating an immersive experience for festival-goers to discover and engage with art in their neighborhoods.
Monzen-Nakacho Area
Artworks will adorn historical sites like Tomioka Hachiman Shrine and Fukagawa Fudo Temple, creating spaces where the memories of the community resonate with artistic expression.
Kiyosumi Shirakawa Area

One of the festival's highlights is the Art Para Market Fair, aimed at showcasing the value of artworks created by disabled artists. 5. Street Market Day

The festival's symbol, a magnificent
Ema Mikoshi adorned with more than 1,300 ema (wooden plaques) painted by children with disabilities, will be displayed at Tomioka Hachiman Shrine, celebrating their artistic expressions.
