This partnership aims to initiate research that utilizes sleep data collected from the guests at Nine Hours' future accommodation facilities opening in Chiba Prefecture.

Nine Hours is recognized for its unique capsule hotel experience. Currently, at select locations, the company offers sleep analysis services, where guest activities, snoring sounds, and facial images during sleep are monitored through built-in sensors in the capsule beds. This data is not only valuable for improving guest experiences but is envisioned to contribute to broader healthcare assessments.

The planned research will allow Nine Hours to gather and share these sleep data metrics, provided the guests consent for this usage. These metrics will then be analyzed by experts at Chiba University Hospital, with the objective of exploring methods of disease prevention and enhancing overall health.
