Trinasolar ISBU Partners with Equinix for Renewable Energy in Japan

In a major move aimed at enhancing renewable energy supply in Japan, Trinasolar International System Business Unit (ISBU), the utility-scale solar and battery storage development division of Trina Solar Co., Ltd., has signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Equinix, Inc. This significant partnership allows Trinasolar ISBU to supply solar energy generated from the 30 MW Yufutsu Abira Project located in Hokkaido, Japan, which is expected to start supplying electricity by the third quarter of 2028.
