Exciting Event Announcement: Midorin Marche 2025

Mark your calendars for an exciting day of food, fun, and community at the Midorin Marche 2025! Scheduled for December 6, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM, this event promises an engaging experience for everyone—from kids to adults. Held at the former Midori Police Station site in Yokohama, this event will be co-hosted by JA Yokohama and aims to support the upcoming GREEN×EXPO 2027.

What to Expect at Midorin Marche 2025

The Midorin Marche 2025 is designed to showcase the best of local produce and offer a variety of entertaining activities. Here’s what you can look forward to:

1. Direct Sales of Local Produce: The event will feature a dedicated area for the direct sale of fresh vegetables, fruits, seedlings, and flowering plants by JA Yokohama. This is a fantastic opportunity to support local farmers and enjoy the freshness of regional products.

2. Local Cuisine: Visitors can indulge in delicious meals prepared with locally sourced ingredients by 12 selected Yokohama restaurants registered as "Yokohama Local Production for Local Consumption Support Shops." Whether you're craving a fresh egg sandwich from Joburiko or a hearty vegetable bento from Tama Cafe, there will be plenty to satisfy your appetite!

3. Free Soup Offer: All purchasers at the bento booth will receive a complimentary wakame and harusame soup (limited quantity; not applicable for kitchen cars).

4. Handmade Goods and Workshops: Explore the 商店街ブース (shopping street booth) operated by Japan Handmade Littlegarden, featuring unique handmade crafts made from reused materials. Join in on the fun with accessory-making workshops, no pre-registration necessary.

5. Next-Gen Automotive Area: Presented by Weins Toyota Kanagawa, this area will showcase innovative electric cooking demonstrations, including the tastiest new rice cooked using electric power. Kids can answer traffic safety quizzes to earn their very own "child's driver's license!"

6. Kids’ Fun Area: Organized by Woo-By.Style, this area will include the evening Marche, where you can buy products that are nearing their expiration dates at a discount while contributing to SDGs. Kids can also get crafty with shake-shake keychain workshops (advance registration is not required).

7. Photo Opportunities: Don’t forget to capture the moment with the official mascot of GREEN×EXPO 2027, Tunk Tunk, and Midorin! Meet Midorin for greeting sessions scheduled at 12:30-12:50 PM and 1:10-1:30 PM.

8. Greenery Booth: The Midori Ward Office will be giving away saplings (Doudan or Satsuki azaleas; selection will not be available) to the first 300 guests. Experience a mock election using real voting equipment as part of the "Winter Bloom Flower Election!"

Event Details

• - Date and Time: December 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM (The event will continue in light rain; it will be canceled in case of severe weather. End time may vary as items sell out.)
• - Location: 135-14 Taima-cho, Midori Ward, Yokohama City (Site of the former Midori Police Station). Please note that there is no parking available, so we encourage the use of public transportation or neighboring paid parking lots. Bicycle parking will be available at the venue.
