Holland Village Private Cafe Expansion Across Japan
The Holland Village Private Cafe (HVPC), a member-only cafe created by entrepreneur Makiko Kawamura, is embarking on an expansive journey across Japan. As part of a project initiated by the Sunny Side Up Group, the cafe aims to open new locations in 13 cities by April 2025, beginning with openings in Hiroshima, Kobe, Shinjuku, and Yoyogi-Uehara. This unique café concept promotes organic and additive-free ingredients, focusing on delivering tasty and healthy meals to its patrons.
A Community-Driven Cafe Experience
HVPC originated from the Holland Village Members' Club, reflecting Kawamura's desire to provide a cozy gathering space that serves organic meals. Given the strong beliefs shared by community members about making organic food more accessible, a selection process was conducted to choose 13 enthusiastic owners who will lead each café in their respective cities. This initiative allows local owners to share curated menus that utilize high-quality ingredients from HVPC, making them available not only to club members but also to the general public.
Kawamura notes, "I am thrilled to see our dream of offering healthy cafes across Japan becoming a reality. I have worked with passionate HVPC community members to develop the cafe into not just a dining venue, but a third place where people can connect. We are committed to expanding the enjoyment of organic living while collaborating with local governments for our outreach efforts."
