Envision Energy's Strategic Move into Turkey
Envision Energy,
a global leader in green technology, has made a notable entrance into the Turkish market during the Turkish Wind Energy Congress (TWEC). The company announced its collaboration with
Yıldızlar Grup, one of Turkey's largest developers in wind energy and storage, to develop a
232MW wind energy project in Karaman. This project marks Envision's inaugural venture into wind energy in Turkey and serves as a critical milestone in the company's journey towards promoting global clean energy.
Collaborating for a Sustainable Future
During the announcement,
Kane Xu, Envision Energy's Senior Vice President and Head of International Product Groups, emphasized Turkey's strategic position as a bridge between Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the global energy landscape.
“Turkey plays a significant role in the global energy sector, acting as a bridge between Eastern Europe and Central Asia,” said Xu. “Our partnership with Yıldızlar is not just a breakthrough in a new market, but also a crucial step in realizing Envision's global strategy. Together, we will accelerate the transition to clean energy in Turkey and beyond, promote energy diversification, and advance net-zero goals across the region.”
The partnership aims to leverage Envision’s advanced technologies and proven global project implementation experience, enabling Turkey to optimize its energy mix and achieve its carbon neutrality objectives.
Strengthening Turkey's Energy Independence
Müfit Eren, Chairman of Yildizlar, expressed that this collaboration reflects a shared responsibility in enhancing Turkey's energy independence. He remarked:
“Envision Energy has become a truly valuable partner for Turkey, demonstrating extraordinary reliability and vision. This milestone is not only a commercial success but a commitment to the shared responsibility of boosting Turkey's energy independence and contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.”
Yıldızlar Group has a deep commitment to serving the Turkish people, and partnering with Envision will enable them to continue building projects that add long-term value to the country.
The Growing Wind Energy Market in Turkey
According to the
Turkish Wind Energy Association, Turkey has the potential to develop a wind energy market of
30 GW by 2035. As of May 2025, the country has already installed over
13 GW of capacity, meeting more than
11% of its electricity demand. Wind energy is rapidly gaining importance in Turkey's renewable energy mix, aligned with the ambitious targets set by the government.
Envision Energy aims to support this growth through its latest wind turbine technology and global project expertise. With the partnership with Yıldızlar Group, Envision is set to assist Turkey in reaching its 2035 wind energy targets while introducing best international practices that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the clean energy transition.
Conclusion
The collaboration between Envision Energy and Yıldızlar Group represents a significant step toward a more sustainable future for Turkey, reinforcing its energy independence while contributing to global clean energy initiatives. As the world moves toward greener alternatives, projects like these are pivotal in shaping the energy landscape not just in Turkey, but also in the larger context of the international renewable energy market.
