In an extraordinary collaboration, Sound Wellness Lab, a branch of Della Inc., and TANAKA Future Research Institute from the TANAKA Precious Metal Group, are set to release a remarkable classical arrangement album composed solely of sounds from precious metals. The album titled “Precious Metal Orchestra: Journey Through Precious Metals Vol. 1” is scheduled for release on June 13, 2025, on various music streaming services.

Ever since ancient civilizations, the evolution of mankind has been closely tied to the benefits derived from metals. Precious metals, especially, have captivated the human imagination throughout history, just as music has been a fundamental art form reflecting the journey of civilization. This collaboration marks the inception of a musical voyage that transcends time, inviting listeners to experience the enchanting sounds of gold, silver, platinum, and other precious materials.

Leveraging TANAKA’s advanced technology, eight distinct types of precious metal plates, including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, have been specially crafted for this purpose. The creation process involved extensive experimentation and recording over several months, culminating in this unique sound source.

The album features renowned classical pieces such as “Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring” and “Jupiter”, reimagined through the luxurious timbres of precious metal sounds. The rich yet ethereal tones seem to narrate a grand history shared by humanity and precious metals, resonating deeply within the listener's soul and providing both healing and inspiration.

Each composition showcases solo tracks recorded with specific precious metals, along with ensemble tracks where these diverse sounds are blended together. The distinct sonic qualities of each metal are explored, with the ensemble track of “Jupiter” featuring gold carrying the main melody, gracefully intertwined with silver and copper. Yellow gold offers a beautiful arpeggio against a backdrop of silver and the robust sound of gold, creating a harmonious depth.

The musical arrangements for this album are crafted by Mitsuhiro, a composer renowned for his work on calming music for JAL's in-flight relaxation channel and other soothing music projects. His arrangements are designed to fully exploit the musical allure of these precious metal sounds.
