XCMG Machinery Strengthens European Operations
In a significant move to expand its footprint in Europe,
XCMG Machinery (Code: 000425), a leading Asian manufacturer of construction equipment, has ramped up its operations through local investments and innovations in service delivery. This initiative marks a new chapter in the company's strategy, aiming to boost sustainable development and industrial growth across the region.
On April 13, XCMG-Europa Sp. z o.o. celebrated a pivotal milestone in
Kompin, Poland. The groundbreaking ceremony for a state-of-the-art assembly hall was held, dedicated specifically to the production of advanced horizontal directional drilling (HDD) rigs. This facility, anticipated to be completed by 2024 according to EU standards, underscores XCMG's localization strategy, which integrates Polish engineering expertise with advanced manufacturing technologies in road equipment.
The event was attended by notable figures, including former Polish President
Bronisław Komorowski and XCMG Group President
Yang Dongsheng. They highlighted the project's role in improving productivity, reducing costs, and generating new job opportunities in the region. As
Michał Myczkowski, President of XCMG-Europa, stated, “These investments not only position Poland as a hub for high-quality machinery but also enhance our ability to serve European customers with tailor-made solutions.” This new establishment will focus on trenchless drilling equipment, reflecting the rising demand for sustainable infrastructure technologies in Europe.
Meanwhile, in
France, XCMG, in collaboration with its official distributor
Groupe LABROSSE, held a successful Open House event on April 14. The event showcased plans to further strengthen its presence through acquisitions and expanded service networks. LABROSSE has successfully acquired significant rental distributors, including
Barthélémy Location and
E2M, with several additional partnerships nearing completion. The opening of the new headquarters for Groupe LABROSSE will further enhance the portfolio of 12 localized XCMG models, including earthmoving machinery and lifting platforms, supported by local technical experts.
Yang Dongsheng emphasized, “Our European strategy prioritizes smart innovation, green transition, and excellence in service.” He also announced the imminent launch of a European training center and a leasing subsidiary aimed at equipping customers with cutting-edge skills and flexible financing options, thereby ensuring long-term operational effectiveness.
The establishment of a subsidiary company with a French-Chinese team now overseeing each of the manufacturer's divisions signifies XCMG's commitment to localized operations. In
Germany, the company has also set up a service, training, and spare parts storage center encompassing 5,000 square meters. By merging localized manufacturing in Poland with an enhanced distribution network in France, XCMG is effectively demonstrating its dual approach—focusing on manufacturing excellence while catering to client-centric services.
Throughout this expansion journey, XCMG continues to integrate local talents and resources into its global framework, supported by six international research and development centers and operations in 193 countries. Such initiatives not only foster economic growth but also contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the region.
Through its strategic endeavors and a commitment to innovation and sustainability, XCMG Machinery is poised to lead the construction industry in Europe, meeting the demands of a rapidly evolving market while maintaining a focus on environmental responsibility and technological advancement.
