This process includes confirming that necessary prescriptions are delivered to the patient's room and that the Orlando Health MyChart patient portal is activated for easy access to their medical records.

To further enhance patient-provider interactions, Orlando Health has introduced the Practice Support Specialist program. This initiative focuses on pre-visit support for patients and primary care practices by conducting thorough reviews of medical charts prior to scheduled wellness exams. Identifying any unmet needs before appointments allows for more engaged and productive discussions between patients and providers.
In an exciting technological pivot, Orlando Health has also implemented an AI-powered platform that employs ambient listening to automatically generate clinical notes during consultations. This innovation is designed not only to streamline documentation but also to alleviate some of the administrative burdens faced by healthcare providers. As a result, clinicians are finding that they can devote more time to direct patient care, improving the overall quality of healthcare delivered while combating burnout associated with excessive documentation.
