uPerform Welcomes Dr. Stephanie Lahr as Chief Medical Officer
uPerform, recognized as a market leader in just-in-time learning platforms, recently appointed Dr. Stephanie Lahr, M.D., CHCIO, as its inaugural Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This strategic move is designed to strengthen the company's commitment to providing scalable health information technology (IT) education to clinicians across the healthcare landscape.
As CMO, Dr. Lahr will take on a crucial role in driving client engagement and enhancing the overall user experience for healthcare providers. She will lead uPerform’s client advisory board and play a pivotal role in guiding the company’s product development and marketing efforts. Eric Grosgogeat, the Chief Executive Officer of uPerform, noted that Dr. Lahr’s extensive knowledge and passion would be invaluable assets in advancing the company’s mission to improve the clinician experience. "Her expertise will help uPerform offer tailored educational solutions, enabling healthcare professionals to deliver more effective, patient-centered care," Grosgogeat said.
Dr. Lahr’s journey with uPerform began in January 2024 as a member of its healthcare advisory board, during which she made significant contributions to the organization's strategic direction. She expressed her enthusiasm for joining uPerform, stating, "The mission to empower health systems aligns perfectly with my commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery through technology. It is vital for clinicians to receive scalable and personalized health IT education that allows them to embrace innovations confidently."
Educated at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Lahr completed her residency in Internal Medicine and holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. Her diverse background spans several key positions in the healthcare and technology sectors, including her role as President and Chief Experience Officer at Artisight. Prior to this, she served as Chief Medical Information Officer and later as Chief Information Officer at Monument Health in Rapid City, South Dakota. Here, she led the successful implementation of uPerform, which marked a significant transition in the health system's training methodologies.
