Tanizawa Manufacturing's A4 Disaster Prevention Series Wins Double Awards

Tanizawa Manufacturing's Award-Winning A4 Disaster Prevention Series

In a significant achievement for Tanizawa Manufacturing, two products from their innovative "A4 Disaster Prevention Series" have clinched double awards at the prestigious 7th Disaster Goods Awards 2025, organized by the Disaster Prevention Research Institute. As September 1, known as Disaster Prevention Day, approaches, an increasing number of businesses and organizations are reevaluating their disaster preparedness systems and considering new solutions.

Located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, at 2-15-5 Shintomi, Tanizawa Manufacturing, under the leadership of President Kazuhiko Tanizawa, addresses common challenges faced by urban offices, particularly the "lack of storage space for disaster supplies." By introducing a compact series of disaster-preparedness goods designed to fit A4-sized boxes, they are making it easier for organizations to prepare effectively without sacrificing precious space.

Winning Products

ST#9101: "Sleep Comfort Set"

In the disaster supply category, the "Sleep Comfort Set" was awarded the Idea Prize for its innovative design that caters to individuals stranded in offices or evacuation centers during emergencies. The set includes an air mattress, aluminum blanket, and non-woven sheets alongside essentials like earplugs and whistles to ensure both comfort and safety. The concept of compactly storing bedding for four individuals within a single A4-sized box was highly rated, particularly for its focus on the basic yet critical need for rest in distressing situations.

ST#9102: "Hygiene Guardian"

In the hygiene-related goods sector, the "Hygiene Guardian" received the Excellence Award. This emergency toilet and hygiene product set caters to four adults and is designed for use over a maximum of three days, all fitting neatly in an A4-sized box. The kit features solidifying agents, waste bags, odor-proof bags, along with disinfectant wet wipes, baby wipes, gloves, and an infection control guide created by experts, reflecting a unique approach to sanitation that takes into account secondary disasters like infectious diseases.

A New Approach to Disaster Preparedness

As urban offices often face the shared challenge of space constraints, Tanizawa Manufacturing promotes the idea of "realistic preparedness with the minimum essentials." With the A4-sized products, they have successfully attracted significant interest from various businesses and municipalities. As companies reconsider their disaster supply strategies leading up to the next Disaster Prevention Day on September 1, 2025, these products offer innovative solutions tailored to meet their needs.
