Seminar Overview
Theme: Reevaluating “Fit to Standard”: The Optimal Role Division Between ERP and Low-Code Surrounding Systems
With digital transformation (DX) on the rise, many companies are adopting or refreshing their ERP systems. During this process, the significance of the concept of “Fit to Standard” has gained attention. However, a crucial challenge lies in addressing business requirements that cannot be accommodated by standard ERP functionalities, which can determine the success of the project.
In this presentation, we will introduce an approach that minimizes add-on development for ERP while leveraging low-code SaaS-type surrounding systems to flexibly meet business requirements. The discussion will emphasize not only the cost reduction before ERPs go live and the enhanced maintainability post-launch but also crucial aspects often overlooked, such as the maintainability of surrounding systems and the pitfalls of customization.
