Verdek Expands Its Services with the Appointment of Gene Irwin

Verdek LLC, recognized as a front-runner in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and sustainable initiatives, has announced a significant enhancement in its operational capabilities. The company has appointed Gene Irwin as the new Manager for its GSA/DOD fleet. This strategic move aims to bolster Verdek's service offerings to meet the complex requirements of government projects, primarily focusing on electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) technology.

Gene Irwin brings a wealth of experience, including a strong background in business and a passion for advancing green technology. He previously held the role of Technical Project Manager for a major energy project, overseeing exploration, production, and financial management. His extensive experience in managing M&A activities totaling over $175 million for small to medium-sized enterprises further underscores his expertise. Throughout his career, Gene has successfully generated substantial revenue in various sectors, including artificial intelligence and major construction ventures.

His technical credentials are equally impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and pursuing advanced studies in Mechanical Engineering and Thermodynamics. Additionally, he possesses a certification in Nuclear Science, making him exceptionally well-suited for the technical demands of his new position at Verdek.

Since late 2024, Gene has already been overseeing GSA/DOD projects. His leadership will now extend to commercial charging station initiatives and the nascent Design-Build consultation services alongside the highly skilled Director of Construction Services, Chris Mohasel. This collaborative effort is expected to enhance the quality and effectiveness of Verdek's service delivery.

The CEO of Verdek, Guy Mannino, expressed his optimism about Gene's contribution: "Gene will play a pivotal role in expanding Verdek's services to large scale government solutions on green electric and fleet management. As a veteran USAF Officer, he is familiar with the needs of GSA/DOD. His expertise will be an invaluable resource in meeting the evolving demands of our diverse clientele."

Gene himself voiced his enthusiasm for this new role, stating, "Verdek allows me to pursue my passion for building financially successful operations and affect the growth of green technology nationwide to deliver cutting-edge Electric and EV solutions."
