Cakebread Cellars Introduces Exciting Virtual Cooking Series to Celebrate Napa Valley's Culinary Heritage
Cakebread Cellars Launches 'Vine & Dine'
This summer, home chefs throughout the United States have a special opportunity to dive into the culinary delights of Napa Valley without stepping foot outside their kitchens. Cakebread Cellars, a renowned family-owned winery celebrated for its exquisite wines and rich culinary history, has unveiled the 'Vine & Dine' virtual cooking series, created in collaboration with the chef-led platform, Home Ec.
A Taste of Napa Valley
The inaugural sessions are set for August 14 and 25, with additional classes planned for later in the fall. 'Vine & Dine' aims to bring the sophistication and warmth of Napa Valley directly into homes through engaging, live-streamed cooking classes led by Chef Brian Streeter, the winery's Executive Chef. This initiative is inspired by Cakebread's popular 'Cooking with Cakebread' program, and it will combine seasonal recipes with perfectly paired Cakebread wines. Such classes promise a unique tasting experience that embodies the winery’s philosophy of food and wine synergy.
Broadcasting from Dolores Cakebread’s home kitchen at the winery, attendees will be guided in real-time, allowing them to ask questions and enjoy the signature hospitality that Cakebread is known for.
The first class will offer a seasonal tomato theme, showcasing a dish of Andouille Crusted Filet Mignon paired with blistered cherry tomatoes and garlic sauce, complemented by Cakebread's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Participants have tiered ticket options, starting at just $25, which includes live access to the class and digital materials. For those seeking a more immersive experience, a premium package priced at $190 includes grocery deliveries and a voucher for Cakebread wines.
Inviting You to Share in a Legacy
Chef Brian Streeter emphasizes the importance of sharing the winery's culinary legacy. Dolores Cakebread, a co-founder of Cakebread Cellars, believed in the essence of sharing great wine alongside great food. With 'Vine & Dine,' Chef Streeter invites participants to connect with the kitchen traditions and seasonal ingredients that the winery has championed for years.
His journey with Cakebread began in 1989, where he worked closely with Dolores for over 15 years, ensuring her spirit and culinary teachings remain alive within the winery’s practices and now through these virtual classes. Dolores laid the groundwork for the culinary excellence that Cakebread Cellars continues to showcase, serving harvested meals from scratch to the crew long before food-and-wine pairings became fashionable.
