Overview
The Fukuoka NEXT Unicorn Incubation Program 2026, managed by CIC Catalyst APAC in collaboration with the Global Connect Fukuoka Network, invites startups to apply for its groundbreaking support initiative. This program aims to assist startups in the bio-medical field (excluding drug discovery) that are operating within Fukuoka Prefecture. Participants will receive comprehensive support, including strategy development and pitch enhancement by industry experts. Additionally, they will gain access to networking and pitching opportunities in Boston, an established hub of innovation.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program, the applicant startup must meet all the following conditions:
- - Have its headquarters or a business location in Fukuoka Prefecture.
- - Aspire for overseas expansion, particularly targeting the US market for business development and fundraising.
- - Operate within the bio-medical sector (excluding drug discovery), including fields like medical devices, digital health, AI imaging diagnostics, healthcare software, and regenerative medicine related technologies (with development as a treatment excluded).
- - Assign representatives who can participate consistently and proactively throughout the program.
- - Attend all scheduled events, including the kickoff, domestic training sessions, the trip to Boston, follow-ups, and the domestic demo day.

Kickoff Sessions
- - Pre-training seminars covering topics such as Boston-style pitching, networking techniques, and overseas business strategy formulation.
- - One-on-one meetings with the program administration (approximately once a month until the support period ends).

Domestic Training
- - Preparation seminars on topics like the US market landscape, FDA regulations, and the US healthcare system.
- - Business strategy mentoring from external mentors well-versed in the US market.
