Celebrating 40 Years: Heartful Scrum 2026 Event to Empower Youth Through Rugby

Heartful Scrum 2026: A Celebration of Rugby and Community

This weekend, the Tokyo-based Komura Agency is set to honor its 40th anniversary with an exciting event called Heartful Scrum 2026. Taking place on April 25 at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium, this initiative not only celebrates the company's legacy but also focuses on empowering the next generation through sports.

The event will kick off at 2:30 PM, coinciding with a thrilling match between Toshiba Brave Lupus Tokyo and Yokohama Canon Eagles, part of the NTT JAPAN RUGBY LEAGUE ONE 2025-26 season. Attendees can look forward to various activities aimed at enriching the experiences of children and promoting the values of rugby.

A Day of Fun and Learning for Kids

Komura Agency has organized three main programs for children to engage in the spirit of rugby:
1. Rugby Experience Session: From 1:30 to 2:00 PM, children will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on rugby session guided by professional players. This program emphasizes skill development and teamwork, aiming to cultivate a love for the sport among young participants.
2. Rugby Ball Donation Ceremony: One of the highlights of the day will be the donation ceremony, where rugby balls will be presented to local kindergartens, daycare centers, and primary schools in the Minato Ward. This donation aims to inspire healthy growth and community engagement through sports.
3. Inviting Para Kids: Emotionally charged moments await as children with disabilities—referred to as Para Kids—are invited to enjoy an official Japan Rugby League One match, allowing them to experience the excitement of live sports.

Celebrating Rugby Values

The core theme of Heartful Scrum 2026 is to intertwine the spirit of rugby with community development and youth engagement. Through this event, Komura Agency aims to spread fundamental values such as dignity, passion, unity, discipline, and respect. These principles not only embody what rugby stands for but also serve as essential life lessons for the younger generation.

To ensure this event is beneficial to children, professional rugby players will participate directly, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. The hands-on experience and interactions with athletes serve to empower kids and ignite their aspirations in sports.
