Nevada King Gold Corp. Announces Major Drilling Expansion with BLM Approval
Nevada King Gold Corp. has achieved a significant milestone in its Atlanta Gold Mine project by obtaining crucial approvals from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the State of Nevada. These approvals allow for the addition of 47 drill sites and constructing nearly 1.9 kilometers of new roads within the extensive 100%-owned Atlanta Gold Mine Project, situated along the lucrative Battle Mountain trend, approximately 264 kilometers northeast of Las Vegas. This step is a part of the company's Phase III drill program, which aims to expand its exploration capacity.
The modifications were confirmed on February 6, 2025, signifying a boost to the company’s ongoing efforts to enhance its operational framework within the Atlanta district area. This recent update marks the second modification successfully permitted by Nevada King, following the first approval received in October 2024. The BLM's Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) showcases the project’s sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations, promoting further development while addressing ecological considerations.
Currently, fieldwork is already underway, with a contractor on site as of January 29, 2025, who has successfully completed 650 meters of new roads facilitating access to the South Quartzite Ridge Target (SQRT). These new infrastructures will allow drill-testing across a 600-meter strike length within the SQRT’s central area, where compelling CSAMT data suggests the potential presence of gold mineralization, located approximately 150 meters deep under a resistive barren quartzite cap.
Since the Phase III drill program commenced on October 16, 2024, Nevada King has already completed nearly 11,870 meters of drilling, involving 49 holes out of an anticipated total of 20,000 meters of reverse circulation (RC) drilling. With analytical results pending, two drill rigs remain operational at the Atlanta site. Recent drilling efforts focus on utilizing the technical insights previously acquired during Phase II to broaden mineralization southward from the resource zone while also seeking new satellite deposits in the surrounding Atlanta district.
The company's approach leverages insights from CSAMT anomalies, surface samples, and several historical drill holes to scout potential target zones, primarily located along a semi-circular ring fault which encloses the expansive 7-kilometer-wide Atlanta caldera. Cal Herron, the Exploration Manager at Nevada King, expressed satisfaction with the swift response from the BLM and the State of Nevada, underlining the criticality of this approval for advancing exploration in the southern half of the SQRT and the Silver Park region.
Detailed quality control protocols are firmly in place for all sample collection, ensuring that drill site samples undergo consistent testing to maintain data integrity. All reverse circulation samples are carefully handled, undergoing rigorous processing and analysis at American Assay Lab in Reno, Nevada. The meticulous methods utilized include comprehensive four-acid digestion processes and multi-element ICP-OES analysis to guarantee accurate gold and other mineral tracing. Ultimately, the enhanced operational capabilities will significantly bolster Nevada King's objectives in expanding its mineral resource base.
As an entity fully dedicated to the advancement of its Atlanta Gold Mine project, Nevada King continues to work diligently towards realizing its exploration ambitions, emphasizing the project’s historical significance and its potential for future resource development. The Atlanta Gold Mine remains a key area of interest for the company, given its sizeable NI 43-101 compliant pit-constrained resource, which amounts to 460,000 oz Au in measured and indicated categories, in addition to an inferred resource of 142,000 oz Au, reaffirming its viability and strategic importance in the ongoing gold mining landscape.
