Our Rescue Welcomes New Leaders to the Board Amidst Growing Global Operations
Our Rescue Welcomes New Board Members
In a significant move towards strengthening its operational framework and addressing increasingly complex challenges in combating sex trafficking and child exploitation, Our Rescue has appointed two accomplished leaders to its Board of Directors. Jim Dinkins, currently the President of Thomson Reuters Special Services, and Michelle Livingstone, the founder of M.D. Livingstone Consulting, LLC, will bring their extensive knowledge and experience to support the NGO's expanding mission.
The Visionaries Joining the Board
Jim Dinkins
Jim Dinkins is no stranger to leadership in high-pressure environments. With over three decades of experience in federal law enforcement, national security, and intelligence, he holds a pivotal role at Thomson Reuters Special Services (TRSS), where he provides essential solutions to federal agencies. Dinkins has an impressive history working with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where he developed Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) post 9/11. In this role, he managed operations targeting transnational criminal organizations globally, overseeing a massive budget and a dedicated team aimed at enhancing national security.
His extensive background equips him with a unique perspective on the intricate challenges associated with trafficking and the associated law enforcement needs. As Dinkins emphasizes, "Our Rescue is filling a critical gap, and I'm excited to help expand its holistic approach to supporting field operations, law enforcement, survivor care, and prevention efforts."
Michelle Livingstone
Alongside Dinkins, Michelle Livingstone brings over 30 years of expertise in supply chain management and logistics. Her impressive track record includes leadership roles at major corporations like Kraft Foods and The Home Depot, where she was the Vice President of Transformation for 14 years. Notably, Livingstone founded her own consulting firm aimed at providing strategic insights that can impact global logistics.
Beyond her corporate experience, Livingstone has devoted much of her time to philanthropic activities, co-founding WISE Beyond, a nonprofit organization focused on nurturing the next generation of supply chain professionals. Her commitment extends to roles on several industry boards and leadership positions at prestigious universities, making her acumen invaluable to Our Rescue's mission. Livingstone states, "I joined Our Rescue's board because its mission aligns deeply with my values. I believe my insights can help drive meaningful impact as the organization continues its transformational path."
Commitment to Fighting Exploitation
These appointments come at a critical time as Our Rescue amplifies its efforts to dismantle dangerous trafficking networks. With a renewed focus on operational excellence and innovation, the organization aims to enhance its capabilities in both domestic and international spheres. The introduction of Dinkins and Livingstone is expected to fortify its operational strategies and deepen community engagement.
Tammy Lee, CEO of Our Rescue, expressed her enthusiasm regarding these new additions, stating, "With their extensive backgrounds in national security and global logistics, they bring crucial expertise to our mission. Their combined experience in public, private, and nonprofit sectors will significantly bolster our capabilities and help us continue our impactful, data-driven rescue efforts."
As Our Rescue moves forward with its mission, Dinkins and Livingstone will collaborate closely with existing board members, ensuring a cohesive approach to overcoming the multifaceted challenges presented by the ongoing crisis of trafficking. Together, they aim to inspire a broader movement and engage more individuals in the fight against these heinous crimes while supporting survivors in their healing journeys.
In conclusion, the induction of seasoned professionals like Dinkins and Livingstone marks a progressive step for Our Rescue. Their leadership is set to enhance operational frameworks that are essential for combating one of the most pressing social issues today: sex trafficking and child exploitation.
