On August 8, 2025, a remarkable collaboration between two brands, Snow Peak and MERRELL, will give outdoor enthusiasts something to celebrate with the release of MTL LONG SKY 2 MATRYX® SP. This innovative footwear represents the second joint effort between the outdoor equipment manufacturer Snow Peak and the American shoe brand MERRELL, which is cherished in over 160 countries for its unique and functional footwear designed for both outdoor landscapes and urban life.

Both brands share a vision of truly enjoying nature and a commitment to crafting high-quality products without compromise. The popularity of their first collaborative effort in April 2025 underscored their shared values and sparked this latest creation.

Product Features
The MTL LONG SKY 2 MATRYX® SP integrates advanced technologies, culminating in MERRELL's flagship line from the Merrell Test Lab. This lightweight and high-performance trail running shoe is designed to excel in various environments, whether it’s rugged trails or speed races.

With a foundation based on the all-rounder model, MTL LONG SKY 2, released in 2022, the updated version incorporates a highly durable MATRYX® upper enhanced with TPU reinforcements. This ensures runners are free from concerns about upper durability even on wet surfaces or uneven terrains. The shoe’s astonishing lightness, excellent breathability, and grip facilitate aggressive and dynamic runs.

Aside from functionality, the distinctive colorway was inspired by the charcoal from campfires, reflecting Snow Peak’s original aesthetic. The shoe comes with an additional pair of shoelaces in a charcoal tone, along with branding elements featured on the heel’s interior and the insole, making it a truly exclusive product.
